1. Scope
These Web Hosting Terms apply to all shared and managed hosting services provided by RDPCore, including cPanel-based hosting and WordPress-optimised hosting plans. These terms supplement the General Terms and Conditions and prevail in the event of conflict.
2. Service Description
Web hosting is a shared environment where multiple customer accounts reside on the same physical server, sharing CPU, memory, and network resources. Accounts are logically isolated at the filesystem level, but share underlying system resources.
Access to your hosting account is provided through a control panel (cPanel or equivalent) which allows you to manage files, databases, email accounts, DNS records, and other hosting features within the limits of your plan.
3. Resources and Fair Use
3.1 Shared Resources
Web hosting plans operate on shared infrastructure. Resource allocations (storage, bandwidth, email accounts, databases) are as specified in your plan. Where a plan includes “unlimited” or “unmetered” features, these are subject to fair use and may be limited where usage is inconsistent with typical website hosting patterns or negatively impacts other customers on the same server.
3.2 Fair Use
We reserve the right to limit or suspend accounts that consume disproportionate server resources, including but not limited to:
- Excessive CPU or memory usage caused by inefficient scripts or applications;
- Excessive number of concurrent processes or database connections;
- Storage usage significantly beyond what is typical for a website of comparable nature;
- Bandwidth consumption patterns consistent with file hosting or media streaming rather than website hosting.
We will notify you before taking restrictive action where practicable and offer guidance on resolving the issue or upgrading to a more suitable plan. Determination of excessive usage is made at our sole discretion based on overall server impact.
3.3 Prohibited Usage
In addition to the general Acceptable Use Policy, the following are specifically prohibited on shared hosting:
- Cryptocurrency mining or any sustained high-CPU workload;
- Running background daemons, cron jobs executing more frequently than every 15 minutes (unless explicitly permitted by the plan), or long-running processes;
- Using the account primarily for file storage, backup, or media distribution rather than hosting a website;
- Hosting adult content, warez, or nulled/pirated software unless explicitly permitted under a designated plan;
- Running IRC servers, game servers, or proxy/VPN services.
4. Email Services
Hosting plans include email functionality as specified in your plan (mailboxes, forwarders, mailing lists). Email services are subject to the following:
- A sending limit applies to prevent abuse. The current limit is displayed in your control panel and may vary by plan. Limits may be modified at any time to protect system integrity.
- Bulk email, newsletters, or marketing campaigns must not be sent from shared hosting email. Use a dedicated email marketing service instead.
- We reserve the right to suspend email functionality if your account is identified as a source of spam or if your sending patterns trigger third-party blacklisting.
- We do not guarantee email deliverability or inbox placement to third-party email providers.
5. Account Management
5.1 Control Panel
You are responsible for managing your hosting account through the provided control panel. This includes file management, database administration, email configuration, and DNS settings within your account scope.
5.2 Software and Updates
You are responsible for keeping your website software (CMS, plugins, themes, scripts) up to date. Outdated or vulnerable software that poses a security risk to the server may be disabled or quarantined without prior notice and without liability for any resulting service interruption, to protect other customers.
5.3 Security
You are responsible for the security of your account, including using strong passwords, keeping software updated, and not storing sensitive data in publicly accessible directories. If your account is compromised and used for malicious activity, we may suspend it immediately.
6. Backups
We perform periodic server-level backups for disaster recovery purposes. These backups are not guaranteed, may be incomplete, outdated, or unavailable at any time, and are maintained at our discretion. They are not a substitute for your own backup strategy.
You are solely responsible for maintaining your own backups. We recommend using the backup tools available in your control panel or downloading copies of your files and databases regularly. We are not liable for any data loss regardless of cause.
7. Service Level
Web hosting services are covered by our Service Level Agreement with a 99.5% monthly availability commitment. The SLA covers server and network availability and does not cover issues caused by your website software, configuration errors, or resource exhaustion within your account.
8. Suspension and Termination
In addition to the provisions in our General Terms, web hosting accounts may be suspended immediately if:
- Your account is consuming resources that degrade performance for other customers on the same server;
- Your website is distributing malware, hosting phishing content, or has been compromised;
- Your account is sending spam or causing IP blacklisting that affects other customers;
- Outdated software on your account poses an active security threat to the server;
- Your account poses a risk to overall server stability.
Upon termination, your data will typically be deleted within forty-eight (48) hours. Backups are not retained after termination.
9. Migrations
We may offer free or assisted migration from other hosting providers at our discretion. Migration assistance is provided on a best-effort basis and we do not guarantee that all data, configurations, or functionality will transfer without issue. We are not responsible for data loss during migration. You are responsible for verifying your website functions correctly after migration.
10. Third-Party Software
Your hosting plan may include access to third-party software (such as cPanel, Softaculous, or WordPress). Use of such software is subject to the respective third-party licence terms. We are not responsible for bugs, vulnerabilities, or limitations in third-party software and do not provide support for third-party software beyond basic installation where applicable. Licence fees for included software (such as cPanel) are bundled in your plan price; if the third-party provider increases their fees, we may adjust your plan pricing accordingly with thirty (30) days’ notice.
